Family Portrait
The portrait of my family lies within the structure concealed by love. My mother is the backbone, holding the piececs together and picking up the pieces when they fall. My father is the wood of the frame, strong and providing shelter. He keeps the backbone in one piece and they connect by a bond that cannot be broken. My sisters lie in the center of the frame, smiling and being loved and held together by the frame that never breaks.
I am the photographer. I see this happy and loving family and want so much to be a part of it but it's just not available to me. I'm peering in the window and hoping that one day, I won't be the outsider, crying for love and attention, but I too will be in the center of the frame built out of love.
