Kelly has been my best friend since 6th grade. Not only has she been there for me, regardless of what has been going on in her life, she has always been there for me.

In the seven years that she and I have been friends, we have never been in one single fight or argument or even raised our voices at each other. When we lost touch with one another, we knew that all it took was one phone call and we would be as close as ever.

Next year will be the first year that we won't be together, because she is going to Valpo University and I'll be going to Purdue. I've never been so scared in my life, knowing that she won't be here to help me through things that I need help with. I've never had to move on to another new school without her here by my side since when I went from elementary school to middle school, and trust me, that was a disaster.

If starting college is going to be anything like that, I'd better drop out now.
